Zip Wire

Zip cord, also known as lamp cord, available in SPT-1 and SPT-2 insulation for light to heavy-duty applications, offered in 250', 500', and 1000' reels for projects of various sizes, available in green, white, black, or brown wire colors to match different décor or environments, ideal for custom lighting runs, lamp rewiring, or general-purpose electrical use.

Zip Wire - SPT1

SPT1 zip wire is commonly used for commercial Christmas light installations and is generally rated for 7 amps. It consists of two insulated wires (2-conductor) bundled together in a flat, zip-like configuration, making it easy to separate and use for creating custom lengths of light strings. The "SPT1" refers to the insulation type, which has a specific thickness. Compatible for use with C7/C9 stringers and patio lighting. This type of wire can be paired with male and female plugs (often called "Gilbert" or "vampire" plugs) to connect to power outlets and other light strings.

Zip Wire - SPT2

SPT2 zip wire is a stranded, parallel thermoplastic wire (SPT2) with a thicker insulation than SPT1 wire, making it more durable and suitable for outdoor use and potentially colder climates. "Zip wire" refers to its parallel construction, which allows it to be easily separated for connecting to individual bulbs or other components. Commonly used for Christmas light setups, it can be used for custom-length extension cords, adding jumper wires, or connecting C9 bulbs. Rated for 8 amps, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor UL rated applications
